The Anti-Narcotics Cell of the college is established for curbing drug trafficking and use of illegal substances inside and outside the campus. The established objective of the club is to ensure a drug- free campus by imposing a total ban on the possession or consumption of drugs and alcohol by students of the college, within or outside the campus/hostels. The club functions in association with the State Excise Department. The duties of the anti-narcotics cell include organizing awareness programmes in the college and hostels with the help of government authorized agencies/ organizations. Educating the students about the ill-effects of drugs and alcohol, encouraging peer policing among students against the use of drugs, and reporting of any noticed use of drugs by the students to the students affairs committee are also the duties of the Anti-Drugs Cell. We are also associating with the Government initiative titled ‘Vimukthi ‘(Kerala State Mission for De-addiction), a new project, to conduct awareness campaigns against alcoholism and drug abuse.
